Would secondary glazing help with condensation?

We have recently purchased a flat forming the lower floor of a villa built in 1925. It has one original round window remaining which is single glazed, and unfortunately is in a shower room. The wooden frame is suffering a bit as there is a lot of condensation forming on the glass and running down even though there is a fan and we aren't actually using the shower room. A fair bit of black mould had formed which I've cleaned off, and I'm planning to strip, repair and treat the frame.

My Mum is keen for us to replace it with a complete new window unit, but it seems a shame to rip out the one remaining "feature" window in the house. I'm operating on the assumption that we wouldn't be able to replace the glass with a double glazed unit while retaining the wooden frame as it has crossbars which divide the window into 9 sections (happy to be corrected!) so I am now wondering if secondary glazing might help. Anyone got any experience?
