Stuck in a PCP deal

  • If you have 2 child seats in the back how is the adult going to get into the middle seat?

The last time I opened a car rear door and was confronted by a child seat there was no way I could squeeze past it. :p

an x3 is a decent sized car of course you can manage. When we were kids dad had a mk2 escort and we managed fine.

You could afford an Escort - we had to make do with a Hillman Imp :rotfl:

There were 4 of us in the back of a MK2 escort in our family. Yet we didn't have child seats or boosters then which take up more space.

Make do with what you have already, and start saving now to buy your bigger car outright at the end of your PCP deal.

The OP still hasn't explained why he's "in a world of financial pain".

To clarify, the next car doesn't need to be new...I just mean a different car. I'd like it to be pretty safe and not a heap though.

Logistically, it's one kid in the front, 2 in the back, Wife in the middle, dog and double pushchair in the boot and I'll probably need a top box. Don't know if it will fit.

The emergency savings have already been spent on everything else needed for twins!

I think you need to make it work - unless you really want to blow your brains out on changing it.

Get a tow bar and trailer if needs be for the dog, on the rare occasions you're going somewhere that needs you to be travelling fully laden, fully loaded and the dog with you.
