New 2 way pull cord extractor fan switch

Hi,
I pulled the cord out of my 2 way extractor fan isolator switch, I popped over to screw fix and picked myself up another however, the wiring is slightly different between the two.
The wires I have -
Red, Black, Green/Yellow
Brown, Blue, Green/Yellow
Before the switch was setup in the following way;
L1 - Red
L2 - Empty
N - Black
Earth - Green/Yellow
L1 - Brown
L2 - Empty
N .- Blue
Earth - Green/Yellow
Now I have less options so I've setup;
L1 - Brown
L2 - Red
Common - Black & blue
Earth - green/yellow x2
Testing this configuration trips my upstairs lighting switch, any ideas where I'm going wrong?
Thank you

Sounds like you have a normal light switch rather than an isolator switch. Isolator switch should be a 3 pole switch, so have 6 terminals plus the earth.0

Ahhh thank you!
I got confused between 2 pole & 2 way, I just fitted a 2 pole isolator switch and it works great thanks!0
