Parking Eye - DISHONEST FINE- THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN

Hi, So I received a parking fine from Parking Eye for unpaid parking on the 20th Sept, I appealed explaining that I believed that I did pay, explaining the circumstance of the day, heavy rain and difficulty in finding a parking space, and the fact that the fine was for being 3 minutes over the free parking allowance. As the fine arrived almost 2 months after the event I believed that I would be unable to find the ticket. Today I got an email advising that due to lack of evidence that the appeal was not successful and as a goodwill gesture they would allow me 14 days to pay it at the discounted rate of £40.00. As over a year ago I had paid a fine at the same hospital for the same reason I knew that I was super careful on this occasion and spent a long time looking through all coats and jean pockets, miraculously I found the car-parking ticket which I have now forwarded to them in another appeal along with the questions on how they allow such mistakes to happen, this has taken up a lot of my time and given that I had to put my registration number into one of their machines it is totally unacceptable. I doubt I am the only one to fall foul of this scam by those we feel we should put our trust in?!

Your post is a bit jumbled and comes across as a rant.
Please help the regulars who deal with about a hundred of these queries a day by editing your post by adding some punctuation and putting in a few paragraphs. It is difficult to read otherwise.
Did you give away the driver's identity when you appealed? Unfortunately it appears as though you did which is a shame.
What happened when you complained to the landowner?
Did you get a PoPLA code with your rejection?
Have you read the sticky thread for NEWBIES that was just underneath where you clicked n the
button, as this answers most of your questions. I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
