Egg card PPI Plevin claim
Var
I just wanted to say a huge thanks to Martin Lewis and his Resolver tool. Several years ago I claimed back PPI from credit card companies and catalogue accounts successfully. However, I was rejected by my Egg card because it was an online application. I had the card from 2000-2008. I didn’t take it to FOS.
I recently read articles about Plevin claims so I thought there was no harm in putting in a claim. This probably took me about 5 minutes. A couple of days later I had a phone call from Barclays, who took over the card. They asked some questions about sick pay, redundancy, pre existing illness etc which I thought was unusual for a Plevin claim but I answered them to the best of my memory.
Today 3 weeks later I had a letter saying they had reconsidered the original claim and decided I had been mis-sold and enclosed a cheque for £20300!!!
I am flabbergasted! So THANKS Martin Lewis!
