No not as an individual crime. Yes as part of a bigger picture as part of the investigation. If I had £2.8k I would pay it off in a heartbeat to get rid of the past and shut the door. Now it is forever lingering on my monthly statement. Cabot doesn't care, I don't meet the mental health criteria any longer. CCA request is the way to go as already suggested by Fatbelly, if they can’t provide what they are supposed to, the debt is unenforceable.

That £1 a month offer sounds pretty good to me. Try to move your mind away from the idea it's keeping you prisoner; paying that low and not more should be liberating.0

Then I'm not sure why you let Cabot walk all over you then.
With a Crime Reference Number I'd be giving Cabot the middle finger.
If I still had that number I'd probably still give them the middle finger but that's me.0 -

Yes, this is the mindset I need to move to.
I did a CCA request two years ago. I have a copy of the original agreement signed (not by me, but a reasonable likeness of my sig). My surname is spelt incorrectly. The first charge on the card was a £6.3k balance transfer from a Morgan Stanley card. No, I've never had a Morgan Stanley card before I am asked. Then a few payments and lots of late chargesAlwaysOnTheGo ~ Debt Free Wannabe no 537 Motto: This Too Shall Pass Repayment Mortgage £152k Cabot £5.8k at £1 pcm[/B] Every day I wake up happy to be over the darkest days of financial gloom New Debt the remortgage at 2.27% until 11/20270 -

Then you need to dispute it, and much more robustly than you have.
The ultimate worse case scenario is you end up with a CCJ but it does mean that you can put the "what would happen if" ideas to bed.0 -
I've told Cabot repeatedly the card was not mine but is in my name. I did the CCA in desperation just to see when the card was obtained and what the first 'purchase' was. It had been live for 8 years before I found it. Almost my entire marriage. I felt sick. It is clearly a balance transfer from another of his cards. This is the tip of the iceberg not the extent of the problems I have had to deal with.AlwaysOnTheGo ~ Debt Free Wannabe no 537 Motto: This Too Shall Pass Repayment Mortgage £152k Cabot £5.8k at £1 pcm[/B] Every day I wake up happy to be over the darkest days of financial gloom New Debt the remortgage at 2.27% until 11/20270

Give them the Crime Reference Number.0
