Not full in markings, No yellow line

Hi all,

I hope you are well.

I'm starting a new thread as I was unable to find a similar scenario.

I parked in a long parking bay on my street. I have a residential permit for the bay and on top of that there's 2 hour free parking during the time I was parked. It was late and dark when I parked and my two front tyres were not in the bay.
However, there is not a yellow line or any "no parking" signs or parking restrictions for where my two tyres were, outside of the bay. My two tyres were in small section of the road with no yellow line, just before my neighbours driveway. The driveway was in no way blocked or implicated and my car was in no way lined up against the drop kerb.

I received a ticket from the council for the following contravention: "Not parked correctly within the markings of the bay or space". Again, my two tyres were out of the bay but there are no markings or parking restriction signs for where my two tyres were.

I don't think the council have a right to issue me a ticket in this case. Please let me know your thought's.

Thank you all in advance.

Simeon

you wont , because we dont deal with council tickets on here

try pepipoo forums and join with a non hotmail email and post in their special council section, with any scans of paperwork and photos etc
