i just bought a 7 month old iPhone x off ebay from an ebay store
it is in good condition with no faults,
after checking it ha 5 months apple warranty remaining
i read the MSE article on gadget insurance but the insurers that are said to take on older/sed devices, once i called, dont, e.g. Gadget Cover
so i was curious if anyone knows of or has been able to insure an iphone that is over 6mo old?
if so, who with?
thanks

Covered under your home insurance?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

i could add it to my contents insurance but i would never want to make a claim for such a small cost, which would them impact my future premiums, id only want t0 resort to claiming on my contents insurance in the event of a real emergency0

See about bank account add ons. I know Halifax used to cover mobiles but I’m not sure if it’s new ones only or whatnot:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

yes i see nationwide offer a current account (flex plus) and for £13 per month you get mobile phone insurance (+travel/breakdown which i dont use/need)
i just spoke to my home insurers and they think that even if i had gadget insurance with another company, and made a claim, i would still have to declare it (when asked if made claim past 3 years) ,
i thought as its gadget insurance and not contents, that i would not need to declare, when getting home /contents insurance
i was quoted £70 for iphone x insurance0 -

Depends on what their wording of thir any previous claims question is.
Also depends why you claimed. If it was stolen from your house vs dropped in a puddle at glastonbury are different scenarios.Save £12k in 2019 -0 -
i see,
generally speaking, if i was to claim on a gadget insurance policy would i be required to inform my contents insurer, when im in a policy with them, thus raising the premiums?
or am i only required at the start of a new policy or renewal to declare?0 -

Again it depends on the insurer you want to go with.
Some insurers ask for claims historys for 5 years, Some ask for 3 years, Some ask for extra information than others.
it will differ and fall down to what your contents policy insurer ask's at renewal regarding claims.Save £12k in 2019 -0
