  • I have two on reservation in the S West of England if someone has a reservation code for one in Wales, otherwise its a day trip for me.
  • A MASSIVE thanks to OP!!!

After searching for stock all weekend, finally managed to pick one up today:j

Also, I called into a different store first and purchased £100 gift voucher, didn't mention the free £10 one, and the asst. explained about the offer etc and gave me the £10 voucher! I then did this another 3 times, ie, purchased in total £400 (in 4 separate transactions) and got £40 extra:j:j

Then, when I went to collect the TV (Plus some other stuff inc a wii!) I simply did it all in 3 different transactions, and then got a further £30 vouchers AND I mentioned the price change to the Asst, who called over her manager, who then said that it was only £199 for 1 day only, and that when I reserved it yesterday, it was £229. I played dumb and said I was sure it was priced at £199, and they gave me £30 discount!

I am never normally that lucky, so again, a massive thank you:j:T

    AND WELL DONE ARGOS!

Not sure if this has been posted, but if you buy anything over £50, Argos will give you a £5 voucher. Order over £100 and you will get a £10 voucher. Ends today... so you can get the TV for £229.99 - £10 = £219.99!

Or even for £200. I posted this up earlier. Going the gift card route @ £100 twice saves you another £20. :)

    QUOTE
    "OK. In simple terms.

Argos has a "buy £100, get £10 voucher"

So, if you buy £100 gift voucher card, you get £10 one as well.

You do this twice, and for £200 you end up with £220 of gift card vouchers.

For a £230 TV, you only need £10 on top of the vouchers you have just bought. :) And then WHEN you go and buy the TV for "£230" (actually £210 in reality) they give you another £10 voucher for that transaction. So all in all it's a bit like getting £30 off."

Buy a Skoda. Laugh at the VWs who paid several grand more
Its a diesel. 50mpg - laugh at all the petrols
Its a tuned 260bhp diesel - laugh at them in the rearview mirror as they vanish

It looks great.Mine just arrived. Not plugged it in yet.Anyone else got theirs running? Is it a good picture? A bit worried after someone on here said its not the best picture but ok for a bedroom..dont want to dump my good tv if this is not as good(got old goodmans tv).
  • Hi, I got mine home and being a typical bloke, opened the box and within a couple of minutes had it sat on the kitchen table, ran an aerial lead from the normal kitchen telly and had it up and running. The picture quality is good and so is the sound.
My brackets arrived yesterday so just waiting til tomorrow to get it up on the kitchen wall, pacify the wife for a while. We plan to get the laptop hooked up as well so we can get the Karaoke playing for when Christmas comes and the friends come back up to have a drink and a sing song..

All in all, for a couple of hundred quid for the tv, £35.00 for some nice quality brackets, I reckon its well worth the money...
:confused:I have nothing better to do!!!!

    Hi!
I said it was ok for a bedroom as we have a 50' Sony Bravia connected to a HD V+ box and the pic on that is amazing and i was comparing the 2 which was unfair of me.
When hubby set the Beko up again he got a better pic than me cos i hadn't pushed the scart leads in properly:o .
So after hubby had a fiddle with all the buttons i would say this tv would be good enough for a main lounge tv.
    :D

Been trying to get one of these - Argos are now saying 'not found' for the link in the OP, and the price is £399 for the one it can find, and Homebase has their's listed at £283.95 delivered which is better than most places still, but is it worth it?

The annoying thing with Homebase was that they said there were some available for home delivery in my area, let me enter all of my CC details, choose my delivery date etc then sent an email saying they were out of stock!

Well done to the OP and all that got one though :T
