 I tried to make it less suspicious by taking my mate's Mrs into town to pick it up. So I gave her £100 to get vouchers, and I did the same - at separate tills. :D Then I went and ordered the TV. Quite painless really. It was just a bit awkward carrying the box out the store as it was quite busy and people seemed a little bemused at me walking out with a 32" LCD TV box in my hands. The mate's Missus also came in handy as she (metaphorically) sat on the box whilst I went and got the car to save carrying it too far.

It had all the bits in it. But muppet here decided to plug the Y/R/W wires from the PS2 into different plugs, so I had sound but a black and white image. I later found the proper ones behind the panel for the SCART leads. Very happy with it. :j

They let me use their trolley :D

I asked the bloke with a :D on my face, "Don't suppose you have a bag big enough do you?" - I think he'd been given Argos' statutory humour bypass operation....

Had to take my panasonic down the tip today though. Very sad as I bought it way back in 1999, and it had been really good, then suddenly, POP....
    Money saving:
Buy a Skoda. Laugh at the VWs who paid several grand more
Its a diesel. 50mpg - laugh at all the petrols
Its a tuned 260bhp diesel - laugh at them in the rearview mirror as they vanish

I couldn't wait for hubby to try the tv today so little ol' me struggled with it upstairs and plugged it all in and it is great.
We have a standard virgin box upstairs and although the pic isn't as good as the tv downstairs (Sony Bravia) it is still ok for a bedroom.
I now have to try and find one for a workmate of hubbys:eek: which will not be easy.

Not sure if this has been posted, but if you buy anything over £50, Argos will give you a £5 voucher. Order over £100 and you will get a £10 voucher. Ends today... so you can get the TV for £229.99 - £10 = £219.99!
