AA Battery Warranty

Long story short.

Had to get the AA out last year and they replaced the battery on the car because they said the old one was faulty. Yet we are still having the same issues with the car and had the AA out a few times and each time they say it is the Battery.

Took the car to a to our local Garage and they replaced the battery as they said the same.

We contacted the AA today and they told us because we took the battery out of the car, it is no longer under warranty and refuse to discuss the matter further.

Is this correct?

Just because your local garage said your car needs a new battery does not mean its true, same for the AA.
Perhaps it you got the battery tested and got it in writing?

The issue is not with the battery, the issue lies in that the AA have stated that because we have taken the battery out of the car it is no longer under warranty.



I want to know if this is true or not, because I am sure that this will fall be under the Consumers right act of 2015 correct?

How old is the battery, how long has it been out of the car, what does the AA warranty say?

Or is it over 12 months and you are still hoping your battery to be classed as not of merchandisable quality?
You could quite easily have a flat battery, and the battery to be perfectly ok.
Most 12v batteries are actually 12.6v


Like I have stated, your battery needs testing and you need the results in writing, unless the AA accept your story.
