Comparing energy suppliers

I have gone through the comparison site & decided I was interested in First Utility however from originally showing as saving £169 a year I saw that it changes to 0 change as I already have Smart meters installed.
Why would one of the questions in the survey not include Do you have smart meters involved to give a proper comparison? I am currently with Utility Warehouse & whilst handy having one meter I find their Customer Service terrible via email & also although changed to Smart meters I found that they did not automatically change my bill plan to reflect that & pointed out that I should have checked my bills (good point however not helpful).

Your smart meter will probably go dumb on switch so I would just do a straight forward postcode/usage in kWhs/year comparison. Ignore all savings as the Default Cap is giving MSE and other PCWs major problems. Compare current and future annual costs based on your present tariff.
