I got refused with vouchers yesterday - they were from the Sainsbury's mag. They took my details when i questioned this and they phoned me back this morning saying that my particular store do not accept Sainsbury's mag coupons but they didn't know about other stores. This is Warndon Villages, Worcester FYI.
However, they did take 10% of my total worth of other vouchers.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

Our store (Hythe, Southampton) has stopped accepting internet vouchers completely. Gutted! We were saving £10 per visit. They still accept other vouchers.Think of happiness as a kind of mental gardening.0

I always use the self-scan tills but last week, I was a bit greedy and went over the 30% limit. The girl, instead of okaying it like they have in the past, came over, unlocked the machine and had a look at my vouchers. She said we don't take vouchers unless you have bought the product. I asked as politely as I could when the policy had been changed and she went and got a mangager who said they have never taken vouchers etc... I thought it best just to say ok because I don't want them knowing I still use vouchers in the self-scan tills. I hope Tesco haven't changed their policy. At least the self-scan tills still accept them. If they ever stop then I would seriously consider stopping shopping there.0

I've just called head office (after seeing this thread), as I was going this afternoon armed with vouchers.
The lady I spoke to said they have NOT changed their policy on accepting coupons/vouchers. Internet printed ones are, and always have been at the manager's discretion, any others are company policy to accept them.
She even went off and asked a supervisor if there had been any memo circulated recently, saying they now won't accept them. Supervisor confirmed no change.
I said I was going later today to shop. She gave me her name and number and said any probs in store to ring her directly.
I'll let you know.......................................

:A I recently bought Nestle breakfast cereal, with a £3 voucher for Joey on the back - put it through at that start of my trolley load, when packing the trolley I tore the voucher off and use it to pay for my shopping cereal cost about £1.80 so I got £1.20 off my shopping and a free box of cereal no bother! There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0

When we went shopping about a week and half ago at Tescos. we had about £4 something in vouchers.
It was a young lad and husband passed them over with his cards to pay and carried on packing. Took £4 somthing off our shopping and we did buy one of the products that I had a voucher for a £1 for anyway. Did not query it and that was on a £40 shop.
I think if you put few only a few pounds on say of shop of about £20 they are not going to notice. But if you using them to pay for all or smaller amounts of shopping they start to stake notice and query things.
We are very lucky that they allow us to do it. So we should not abuse it. In the states (from what I have read etc) they only take it for products you have bought. But they get double/triple coupon days and tons of rebates unlike here.

I did a tesco shop yesterday. Original price was £58, used £15 of tesco vouchers and then just under £15 of random vouchers. Total I paid was £30.
Cashier laughed and said I must have been collecting for a while, she didn't comment on the fact I had brought NONE of the items I had vouchers for. Lady behind me in the queue was not too happy tho - it took a while for all the vouchers to be scanned in
I had 2 returned to me as the till would not accept them; however in the past I have had cashiers override the till and put them through anyway.
Tesco's should inform their staff as to their final decision on this matter.2012 wins approx £11,000 including 5k to spend on a holiday :j0 -
Can someone tell me which internet vouchers you can print out/use at Tescos? I have a load of random product vouchers cut out from magazines but have been too chicken to try and use them - will do now though!0

I don't think our store understands the policy. They were taking them as long as they sold the product, as long as they scan and only a percentage of the bill but suddenly stopped. They will not take any internet vouchers now even if you buy the product. I did email Tesco and they said they do. We have given up for the time being so as not to draw attention.Think of happiness as a kind of mental gardening.0

The worst that'll happen is they say no and give you them back - they're not going to call the police!0
