ASDA WINE-Beware

Asda have a 25 pc reduction offer on 6 bottles of wine.It transpires that the discount is not applied when you buy.I have just spent 20 minutes talking to Gerry in Manilla negotiating a refund for £27.

Hope you get it sorted, we bought 8 bottles on Saturday and got the 25% off.

Why didn't you check your receipt before you left the store?
You could have gone straight to CS and got a refund.

Even if you ordered online, why did you need to speak to Gerry in Manila?
Are you saying that Asda's CS department is based in Manila?

And why are you 'negotiating' a refund?
If all 6 bottles of wine you purchased qualified for the 25% discount, a refund should not have to be negotiated.

Another person here who used the offer with no issues - I ordered online, and the discount was applied to my order as an eVoucher when you look at the receipt. This was the 6 bottles of the same wine bundle - which coincidentally came to £27, not the usual £36. Seems like you bought an awful lot of wine to need a £27 refund (that'd be if you spent £108 total) - are you sure you're in the right here?

Apologies if you find me insensitive. I drank far too much of said wine last night. :)

It’s always been applied when I buy.

£108 spend (meaning a £27 refund) would mean each bottle of wine would have cost the OP £18.

Do Asda even sell wine at that price per bottle (excluding champagne)?

This post was from early December, people ... Gracie bumped it (for some unknown reason - how did they even find it?)

PS - if the OP lives in Scotland then the offer wouldn't apply anyway ... minimum pricing innit! :)
