Backdated severe disability premium.

Okay so they wrote to me a month ago and said that I had been awarded pip. They backdated my pip claim from just over 2 months ago. I'm guessing this means I was awarded pip from the date that I telephoned hence the backdated money, which was paid in arrears from the date I phoned. Now they have sent me a letter about sereve disability payment. I have filled out the form and sent it off. Will I receive a backpay from the date I phoned up about my pip? In other words the date my pip was backdated to? I believe I am eligible as I am already on esa, in a support group, been awarded a high amount of pip and live alone. I cannot find any info online about the backpay. Someone help?

Is that the date that the pip was backdated from? Or the date of the pip assessment?

If you qualified it's backdated to the date you rang to start your PIP claim off.

As in I applied as soon as they sent me the letter and they sent the letter as soon as I was given my backpay for pip. But the backpay for my pip because I had to appeal took longer than 3 months.

Is the backpay time limited for serve disability premium. As in for like 3 months? What's this?

There's no time limit to the SDP being back dated. As previously advised, it'll be back dated to the start of your PIP award, if you were eligible at that time.
