How to get amount owing?

I am in the process of paying back all my debts, but one of them is an amount which is outstanding towards a nursery where my daughter used to attend. I have requested the owner of the nursery to give me a statement of account so that I can officially settle this debt, but she has not done this. Every time I approach her to send me a statement, she threatens that she will hand this over to the debt collection agency and "they will come to your house to collect or take away your belongings" .
I am really annoyed now, because I want to settle all my debts, and start with a clean slate from January 2019, but this account will remain open if I dont settle it.
Is there anything I can do/say to get her to send me a statement?
Also, how can I find out details about all my debts?

Hi,
Send a letter to the nursery stating:- That you wish to settle the account
- That you require a current statement of account

email/recorded delivery etc - make sure you have proof of what has been sent requesting what is owed
surely there is also more than one person to speak to at the nursery?0 -
The owner has been rather difficult to deal with. She has now replied via email to say she will send me a statement by friday.
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but i have other debts which I am hoping to settle, but Im confused about the best way to do it.
There is a ccj entered against my name in my absence in January 2013, which I believe will lexpire (and hopefully be removed?) from my credit profile in January 2019: is there any advantage to paying this off?
There are two other accounts which are showing "DEFAULT" on my credit report, one of which is rather large loan amount approx 9k, the other around 1k. Does it make a difference to my credit profile whether I pay this off in full or accept a discount that theyre offering? I am not sure how "satisfied" and "partially satisfied" affect the credit score. :-/0 -
The CCJ can still be enforced after the six years is up, although a court may consider the creditor will have had to have had a good reason not to have enforced the debt earlier.
With the two defaults, I would consider sending the respective creditors a CCA request, to test whether the debts were enforceable. As far as your credit rating a 'satisfied' or 'partially satisfied' defaulted account always looks better than having an amount still owed. What are the debts for and when were they defaulted?I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I guess I'll give it another month and see what happens? Its for an amount of approx £1600 to a private school

One is a HSBC loan (approx 9k) which was sold to ARROW. I have done the CCA with this one, and they have not come back to me with proof that it is enforceable? Date of default is December 2012.
The other is an HSBC credit card (approx 1600) sold to INTRUM and this defaulted in october 2013.0 -
When was the last time you acknowledged the Arrow HSBC loan debt? The account is about to be removed from your credit file. If you have not been acknowledging or paying the debt, then it may be about to become statute barred.
When was the last time you acknowledged the Intrum HSBC credit card account? If it were me, I would send off a CCA request to Intrum.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I called them this afternoon hoping to pay off the whole amount. :-/

Even though you have acknowledged the Arrow debt, then I *believe* it may still be unenforceable if they cannot supply a 'true copy' of the original agreement (signatures not required), following your CCA request. Wait for others to come and comment as I am not 100% certain.I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

I have another outstanding debt for LINK financial which doesnt show on my NODDLE credit report. I'm guessing it has defaulted sometime round late 2012 or early 2013. It was for a hire purchase car, they took the car through a third party collection agency and left no paperwork (I know, stupid of me!), and since then they have been sending yearly acccount statements and have tried to make contact on a few occasions. I have not responded.
The amount for that one was approx £3500.
As you can probably tell, I am really confused about this and how to deal with my debts.0 -
With Link, it may well be that the account has become statute barred, since you have not been acknowledging the debt. When does the account date from according to your statements? If applicable, then maybe send them a SB letter.
