You should be able to create folders and organise the music that way.

If the issue is that tracks are playing out of sequence, then check to see that the track number is included as the first 2 characters of each file name and that the track number metadata is correctly set.

I use a program called mp3Tag to manage music files, although you can do a certain amount with File Explorer.

  • The idea of using an SD Card on my Samsung Tablet is not to use up the memory. If you cannot sort and change the order of the music or choose to play listen to a specific play list at any time then that takes somewhat takes away its purpose.I anted to be able to manage my music by creating folders that I can amend. Can you download the app mentioned in Post 3 onto the SD card or another app that is similar.

You'll need to investigate whether the music player on your tablet supports Playlists. There are various formats, and you'd then need to find a suitable app for the PC that would create them for you.

A more basic approach is to physically order track files on your SD card in the sequence you want to play them.

The app I mentioned above is for the PC, and will help you organise your music files before placing them on the SD card for use on the Tablet.

Who would want to listen to music on a tablet?
  • I use Windows Media Player which is not perfect but should do what you require. Good Luck.
