Cost of installing small Extractor Fan!

Need an extractor fan fitted in kitchen, not one of those large versions just a small square box type however, the first quote is £450, seems a bit steep to me but gonna get more quotes first.
Does this sound right in terms of price as i have never had one fitted before until now that is.:snow_laug

What distance of cable is being used to feed it?

Is that having to be chased out of plaster, what distance?

Does the quote include plastering afterwards?

It's on a tiled wall so no plastering but about a meter of cable needed according to the bloke, having some second thoughts as it seems like a lot of hassle!

    - but will he need to chase into the wall to lay the electrical supply? I have a tiled wall in my bathroom but to install an extractor fan would be expensive because of the making good after removing tiles.

    Yeah^^

There might be zoning issues if it's within x distance of a water source which means surface mounted conduit can't be used, I've no idea though, you'd need a spark to confirm that.
