Newbuild Warranty - Kitchen Cupboards

A cupboard door in our kitchen has come off its hinges.
We moved into our Taylor Wimpey newbuild less than 2 years ago and we're unsure how to prove this door came off its hinges through normal wear and tear? We don't have kids or pets and haven't been harsh with the door. Furthermore, all other doors in the kitchen are fine.
Anyone been in this situation or have any advice?

Can you not just put it back up again or has the door/hinge been irreparably damaged?
Can never hurt to contact Taylor Wimpey and see what they say but I wouldn't hold your breath on this being covered.0 -
where has it broken? I had a lower door fail due to unwittingly pulling on it over time when crouching down to get inside. I managed to redrill the hinge hole in a different place with a forstner drill bit designed for the job.
After 2 years I'd be surprised if it was covered under warranty unless there's a clear manufacturing defect, which you'd probably have to be able to prove0 -
Taylor Wimpey would have subbed out the kitchen builds on the estate. Have a look at original drawings or buyers pack, there might be a clue who put them in. I recently contact a TW kitchen contractor direct after I discovered a poor install of integrated washing machine in a friends 2/3 year old flat. They had propped the machine up on two bits of chipboard and the door didn't fit properly.
They came back and sorted it for free and fitted a new door. The fitter said they no longer did work for TW as they'd moved onto another contractor but they were still happy to do the work rather than pass the buck.
We had no contact with TW at all, just did it direct.Signature on holiday for two weeks0
