If I Switch Warm Home Discount?

Hi,
I qualify for Warm Home Discount.
I applied to my dual-fuel supplier British Gas.
If I were to switch supplier, would I have to re-apply with them.
I wonder if I'd lose my WHD by moving?
Thanks in advance.

Possibly, make sure the new supplier offers the whd. Not all do.Be happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
If you are not on Garanteed Pension Credit then you would need to apply with your new provider. Remember they don't all do it or have the same criteria. If you are on GPC then you can move and whomever supplied you in July would still pay it.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0

Yes, if you don't have the money in your account the moment you move, then it's lost forever. You would then have to reapply with your new supplier."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. If you had to apply for WHD then you are in the Broader Group. If you switch before you get it you lose it but if you switch after you get it which will likely be a credit on your electricity account you can keep it. If after you switch there is a credit balance as a result of the WHD you get it refunded.
Applications for the 2018/19 scheme are now closed so you cannot reapply for it but you will be able to apply for the 2019/20 scheme when applications are open - the date varies according to the supplier.
If you are on prepay and have a voucher to get the WHD make sure you present that voucher and get your WHD credited to your electricity account before you switch.0 -
whoever was your supplier on the 8th July this year as long as they were running WHD scheme.so if you moved to another supplier after the 8/7 ,your OLD supplier would be responsible to pay you0

The above applies to those in the Core Group. The OP has already said that he applied for the grant so he is in the Broader Group, therefore the above does not apply."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry.
