Gas central heating/hot water bills guidance
Read your gas meter at least each month. This helps you budget and check your suppliers statements. Submit your your meter readings every month and take a photo of your meters.

Maybe I've missed the exact purpose of this thread....:o

    But...
From the Breeze Energy website, it appears their currently available fixed tariff (Breeze Autumn 2018) charges 3.465p/kWh
... and there is a daily standing charge of 27.825p to take into account too

    http://www.breezeenergy.co.uk/our-tariff/

That would make the annual cost of 16000kWh of gas = £656 (so about 50% more than you suggest)

People should consult a comparison site to find the best deal for them
... where it will also indicate the anticipated annual cost, based on the kWh to be consumed

    Thanks for replying
This contract period, now ending, was December 2017 to December 2018 fixed price
    Gas price 2.73p per kWh

I start a new a new fixed price contract with EDF on the 8 December, monthly direct debit
Simply Fixed Dec 19 (Tariff ends 31 December 2019)

Gas: 3.582p per kWh plus 5%VAT
Standing charge: 5.25p per day (£19.16 per year)
    Predicted 16,000kWh per year

Electric: 15.929p per kWh plus 5%VAT
Standing charge: 5.25p per day (£19.16 per year)
    Predicted 2,600kWh per year

Note. Meter Standing charges. Most suppliers are charging 27p per day for each meter. £200 per year. EDF £40

I hope to show readers the breakdown each month

I have tried to show how my energy bill relates to the type of home and how it's used.

    Thanks again, appreciated
