What's the best AUCTION SNIPER?

Has anyone used an auction sniper/stealer.

Do they work?

Any advice on what one is best and how much they charge would be appreciated.

Sorry to bump up this thread again. But prefer to use the existing thread rather than tp create a new one.

Since recently I notice, using "Gixen" ebay sniper. WHen I tried to add an item, I got his message.

"Please eliminate Gixen Mirror pay-per-use balance of on the settings page before adding new snipes."

I am not a pay subscriber. I have been trying to find those setting but I could not and as a result I could not add any more items. Any tip, trick ?? thanks

You can actually get Gixen slightly cheaper if you go for a 2-year recurring subscription (when it's US$11 for 2 years).

Also, you don't need to give your eBay authentication credentials to Gixen - they are partnered with eBay and you authorise Gixen to bid for you through your eBay account.

You also don't need to give your authentication credentials to JBidWatcher, as it just runs as a local client (which does mean that your PC has to be on when the auction ends). However, I think that Morgan stopped developing JBidWatcher some time ago, and I'm not sure whether it still works.

My question OP is -- why do you need a sniper?

My experience as a buyer and seller the last couple of years, is that if people are serious they will bid or make an offer within a few days of the listing going on line. I honestly thought snipers went out a long time ago. praps its just me but I honestly cannot tell you the last time I saw last minute bd sniping going on.

Most people will use a sniper for a variety of reasons, they may not be around when bidding ends or they will just submit their highest bid in the last seconds to avoid being out bid or to stop some sellers using dummy accounts to push the price up on their items.

I use Gixen for the reasons given above and I have seen last minute bids quite regularly.
