CRA - previous address has been completely removed

Can anybody offer any advice as to what this means, or how?
Do banks (not my bank) have access/authority to manipulate/change personal data which is shared by the finance industry?
If a bank (not my bank) has changed data and used my address for their customer, could this be the duplication, with my address being completely removed?

"I have looked into your new report for you and I can see that a previous address has been completely removed: THE xxx xxx, xxx, xxx. This has happened as any duplicated addresses have been removed from reports.

Each of the entries that have been 'removed' from the credit report appear to be duplicates directly related to the xxx xxx."

Thanks.
