Booking cheap flights through agents

my 2p worth
For my upcoming trip, booking via the airline rather than the (sometimes slated) OTA that I booked with, would have cost me an additional 25%, or £150 pp. Multiplied by 4 that is a saving worth having.
However, be sure to check, double check and triple check that you have entered EVERYTHING with 100% accuracy on your booking form and accept that if you want to change anything on your booking that your wallet is going to get spanked (although booking direct with the airline doesn't make your wallet immune to being spanked).
Do your research beforehand and go into things with your eyes wide open.0 -

Odd post resurrection.....
And awful advice, there is literally no advantage in booking with an agent.0 -
I don't know whether the author still looks for the information on the topic, but I decided to share my experience. As flights are usually expensive, I find a possibility to save money on them to be great. I was suggested to check cheap flights sites by a member on another forum. I should say, it is easy to choose a proper deal.
Which forum was that?
The Air Travel board of TripAdvisor isn't renowned for sympathy for those people complaining about problems they have with flights booked with 3rd party agents.
I'd say the concensus of opinion on there is to book direct with the airline.
Re whether the OP is still looking for the information, he/she logged off 2 hours after posting and hasn't logged on since.
That was almost a year ago.0
