Please I'm a the verge of giving up because of this letter from Gladstones Solicitors, I will appreciate any workable advice to take this forward.
Summary:
Got a letter from DRPL in Sept 17 that I parked without permit on 14.June 17
The address is a property I completed purchase of a flat in on 13 June 17 although my property is not allocated parking
I contested it based on no signage, time of notice more than 14 days, the park had a coded lock which I couldn't open on my own but asserted the concierge opened, and the fact that I bought a flat in the property and was over to pick up documents from concierge.
They insisted on my paying based on proof that they have signage present, and Interpretation act 1978.
I ignored all other letters from them afterwards.
Now I got this new one from Gladstones solicitors on behalf of claimant Close Unit protection services.with option of paying or respond within 30 days and/or go to court.
I have barely 15 days to act and I know absolutely nothing about this.
Pls help.

please read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread and send an LBC rebuttal asap
do not fill in their financial forms
and send the DPO for CUP an SAR under the GDPR2018, getting all they have on you and this incident
also check any lease or tenancy agreement regarding parking matters too0 -
Thank you so very much for the advice, however, I need to raise my hands and say I don’t know where to search for #2 of the newbies faq... I am sure a link will help.
Thanks0 -
it would, but you need to learn to search the forum
its the second or third thread down from the top of this forum, just below where the NEW THREAD button was, with NEWBIES FAQ in its title0 -

Thanks
No link, you need to learn how to hop around the forum or you will flounder.
See my signature. You had your link in the 'breadcrumb trail' at the top of the page all along.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -
As I fumbled around for information, I am trying to piece together a response.
Does anyone have an email address for reaching out to Gladstones Solicitors?
I want to keep correspondence with them in writing on record by filling a 'PAP' form, their website link to PAP in not functioning.
Or will it be okay to call them for this form as it was indicated in their letter before claim.0 -
Why are you wanting to jump through hoops for a scumbag company like Gallstones.
You can ask questions on here and will get answers and usually quite quickly BUT you are doing yourself no favours with 'Does anyone have an email address for reaching out to Gallstones?'
The regulars/experts on here (I'm not one by the way) are really really good at dealing with parking scammers but they are swamped and asking simplistic questions like email address for a solicitor just bogs them down further! that's what Google is for
My advice is take a few days to read all around this forum, it will answer 99% of your questions, then when you've learnt much more about the game you are now playing with the scammers come back and post your question/s then

True and good point, my question then will be where do I get a PAP form that is what their letter mentioned to follow for response.
Quoting their words:'If you believe you have a valid reason for non-payment, you are able to reply pursuant to paragraph 4 of the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims under Civil Procedure Rules 1998 ('the PAP')'
So where can I get the PAP?0 -
Firstly, you are under no obligation to use their forms.lalatoroke wrote: »True and good point, my question then will be where do I get a PAP form that is what their letter mentioned to follow for response.

So where can I get the PAP?
Secondly, if you really want to see those 'PAP forms', then look at the annexes to the Pre-Action Protocol for Debt Claims under Civil Procedure Rules 1998.
Google that bold stuff.

Thanks precisely what I have done, will send them a posted 1st class signed for response. Will see what they come back with and take it from there.0

Please do not use any postal service that requires a signature.lalatoroke wrote: »...will send them a posted 1st class signed for response.
All that does is give the intended recipient the opportunity to refuse to sign for it. Then all you have is proof of non-delivery. Not quite what you want.
If using Royal Mail, send it standard First Class getting a free Certificate of Posting from the Post Office counter. It is deemed delivered two working days after posting.0
