I don't know which institution you're referring to ('NW' could mean Nationwide or NatWest) or which actual account for that matter) but what's stopping you from opening one online today? If you're an existing customer there shouldn't be any ID-related issues that would necessitate a branch visit....0

I just tried but it didn't work and told me to try again in a few minutes...0

I've opened it now. I think it may have been caused by at my end with the NoScript add-in blocking something.0

Mine matured yesterday (30th) according to my letter. But it only changed from a RS and the interest was added early morning.
I've been able to open a new RS too.0 -
Had a letter in October saying my a/c matures on 30 Nov and I could open another Reg on the 30th meaning £500 in account by 1st Dec.
Checked on 30 Nov but a/c still not matured. However, it let me open a new Reg even though my a/c still not matured. Called them up and they said it matures overnight.
He said might as well wait until 1st Dec to open one because only get an extra day of interest! (Too tired to explain to him).
Anyhow, I went ahead and opened one on the 30th and today, I have £500 in the account. Wife did same so £1000 earning 5%.0
