Tempur bed and mattress from Daniel store

Hi all,
I ordered a new bed base, headboard and mattress from the above store, it took about 5 weeks to arrive and once it did we got it all ready to set up, removing all the packaging.
however the bed base was screwed, no enough wheels, or connectors for the two bases or the headboard. there was also one of the wheel holes that hadn't been drilled out.
Given no headboard or wheels we gave up and put the old bed back and emailed the store. They came back and said the base needed to be re-ordered with no bits being sent out.
Not wanting to wait another 5 weeks with a huge mattress and bed we can't use, I have contacted the store today to request they come and take it back as we've lost faith in the brand, I've been told i need to wait for the manger to be in tomorrow to authorise the return.
I've now been looking online and see there is people saying you can't return mattresses that you have opened.
Does this mean im going to be stuck with a mattress from a company that we've lost faith in?

Were they purchased separately or as a single unit (ie were they priced individually)?
If they were one single unit then you have no choice - if you reject the goods you need to reject all goods which compromise a commercial unit.
If they were priced individually then the choice is yours, you can:
1) Accept all the goods
2) Reject all the goods
3) Accept the goods that conform and reject those that don't.
The rule that you cant return items which have been sealed for hygiene reasons if they become unsealed after delivery only relates to change of mind returns. If the goods don't conform (as the base didnt) then your rights are different. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
they were all individually listed on their site, the headboard, the base and the mattress.unholyangel wrote: »Were they purchased separately or as a single unit (ie were they priced individually)?

My only concern was that we had opened it all before we realised the base was defective/unuseable.
Been looking at the temper website and they say that you must not use the mattress on a base without wheels or legs to allow proper circulation.
I think from what you have said i will be ok to return it all. Which I'm pleased about so thank youIf i upset you don't stress, never forget that god aint finished with me yet.0 -
