Hi
I joined Outfox the Market in September, now three price rises later, I have just switched to ESB energy through Quidco and U Switch with £21 cashback (already tracked), which is fixed for 2 years, the saving is around £110 when the OFTM price rise kicks in during January.
Just wondering if anyone else has any expereince of ESB Energy ?
Thanks HC

Ha ha. Most of the population of Ireland, as it's their national supplier.0

We have British Gas, but that isn't brilliant, so rather go by peoples experiences.
Oh, well I just switched to them also on Wednesday. This morning I have an email from them to open my account, and everything seemed to work okay.
I'm just waiting to see if OFTM make any trouble. Someone posted that Scottish Power said she could not switch, because they did not have OFTM's contact details! I guess if I were losing customers left right and centre, I might also be a little obstructive.0 -

I have tried to find out what the name is for the account I signed up to in September, it was then called ZAP July 2018 Medium, but logging in to OFTM there is now no account name, I just have the latest three price rise figures to work out who is more competitive, unfortunately OFTM are not responding to any emails asking for details
I hope the switch is made before January price rises and the introduction of the 50p per day standing charge for dual fuel.0 -

I believe we still get charged at the old rate until the switch. (Presumably the rate applying until 13th Dec.)0 -

Yes, I can also confirm that Scottish Power are rejecting all energy switches from OFTM as they are not in their system. I was refused today.0 -
ESB have confirmed my request to switch and sent the full pack of welcome details with account number ? so seems good so far0

My 2 year Fixed rate ends in March next year so just been having a little look to get an idea of prices and who to potentially bear in mind to switch to a ESB Energy are showing as the cheapest electricity supplier for me.
Never heard of them before but looking at the info on uswitch, it appears they been supplying Ireland for 90 years and i presume recently branched out to the UK.
Would like to hear views on how the switch over went, how long it takes, what the online portal is like and if the DD is fixed for each year or if they increase in winter etc.
I'm currently with SSE and my DD is fixed for 12 months, at the end of the 12 months, the refund any money in the account. I found it a little odd as I fixed for 2 years so thought any money in the account not used would be rolled over but nope, fair enough not too fussed either way. i prefer have a little excess in the account rather than they saying "you owe...".
Thanks

ESB have been in touch today, direct debit set up and switch due on the 18th, they will email on the 16th for a meter reading, just in time before OFTM intended to take double my normal £64 per month, intending to take £128 per month ?
Pleased i'm fixing for 2 years, I couldn't stand anymore of the countless OFTM emails informing of rises, and messing up their figures.0
