Hoping someone can help.
I've been claiming WPA since my husband passed away in May 2016. I've now met a new guy and we're hoping to move in together. As he currently lives in Scotland and I'm in England he won't have a job straight away. With this in mind, will I still lose my WPA as he'll be living with albeit not contributing anything until he gets a job?

You cannot claim WPA if you are living with someone as if man and wife.

However, you may be able to claim other benefits depending on your circumstances.0 -
He won't be earning though and as I work full time I doubt we'll be entitled to anything.0

Has he been working in Scotland? if he has worked for the past two/three tax years then he may be eligible for contribution based ESA or new style ESA if in a full universal credit area.
It is worth putting your details into a benefit calculator (for example https://www.turn2us.org.uk ) to check.

What you could possibly claim will depend on circumstances. Contributions based ESA or New style contributions based ESA is for those who are unable to work. If he's able to work then he won't be able to claim this, even if he has paid enough NI contributions in the previous 2 tax years.
If he's looking for work then Contributions based JSA or New style contributions based JSA, depending on what's in your area, providing he's paid enough NI Contributions in the previous 2 tax years. Check here, to see if it's a full Universal credit area.
