Credit Card for use abroad

Hi
I am looking for some help regarding a credit card I can use worldwide which will not charge me a transaction fee for every non GBP transaction I make.
Also if possible is there a way to limit how much one loses in exchange rate fees e.g. some cards might offer zero transaction fee and make it up by giving you a ridiculous foreign exchange rate. I am quite new to all this and would appreciate all the help I can get.
If any of you know some way of also working into the above some sort of cashback on the credit card even better.
Regards
Silver

Hi
I had a read of that link before I posted my question. Is there no card which will give you cashback indefinitely or have a worldwide 0 transaction fee indefinitely, you are most likely not to remember 5/6 yrs down the line what was wasn't included on the card.
Also seems a bit redundant to use a card until these fees and cashback's stop working and then start looking for another deal if you understand what I mean..0 -
it is what everybody does - the best deals are always at the beginning to attract new custom. You need to move around to keep getting the bestI’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

So do you just cancel the cards after the so called 'fun period' is over and get the new deals?0

I do. I retain my longest standing card (which gives cashback anyway) and the others stay as long as they give me 0% or cashback. Once they revert to 'normal' I close them and look for something else - or I look for a 0% balance transfer first if I am carrying a balance on them

The Forex fees for non sterling transactions are set by Mastercard, Visa, and Amex. You will get the same exchange rate with a Nationwide Visa or a Barclaycard, just as you will with a Lloyd's MC or a Tandem MC.
Mastercard have slightly better exchange rates than Visa.
If I was looking for a new card right now, I would go for Tandem. Mastercard rates, no Forex fee, and 0.5% cash back.
They also have quite a good app that let's you aggregate your accounts with several other banks.

I have had my aqua reward card now for 6 years, and use this only when abroad - its a mastercard, so get better exchange rates than you would on the high street currencies. hasnt changed any offers since having it, still however get some small BT offers and cashback offers, but as i dont use the card locally, dont really care much for additional offers0
