Is it possible to cook rice via microwave?

Yeah, I do wash the rice. I was just getting so annoyed with my rice sticking to my rice cooker. Wasted so much!
I have just purchased a microwave rice/steamer. Typical, maybe should have tried the pyrex option. Do you also use 1 part rice to 2 parts water?0 -
Hi, yep, that's what I would do ... perhaps a little bit under 2 parts water but keep checking it; I put mine on for 9 minutes first then gauge it from there.
HTH!That's Numberwang!0 -

My rice cooker came through today so looking forward to trying that out. At very least it comes with instructions which could be used with a pyrex dish. Not bad for £6 inc P+P...0
