Lowest standing charge?

Now that unit price will be capped from Jan 2019, which is the lowest standing charge available?

At the moment I'm paying 15p per day, but my supplier is increasing this to 25p because the cost per unit has to come down to the cap.

Is there any offered for very low standing charge for low users?

My bills are always very low becaus I'm a very low consumer of both electric and gas.

It is not the unit price that is capped, it is the price of the average user's bill that is capped and that includes standing charge. There is also a zero user cap which is the standing charge. Suppliers will still be able to play around with charges to achieve that cap and, as it is now, the cheapest standing charge tariff may not be the overall cheapest.

What tariff are you on with a SC of 15p/day. The price cap is simply a new variable tariff for 1 January - 31 March. Other tariffs will continue to be available - but the price cap will be the default, for example at the end of a fixed contract.
