If it all goes to plan, and doesn't escalate, it's a couple of hours labour at most, plus £30ish at most for the parts.

But it's definitely one of those "while you're in there" jobs when it comes to things like ball joints, CV boots and brake discs/pads.

Given the age of the car, it's unlikely to be worth fitting genuine Citroen parts, so AdrianC's reply is correct. Say £100 for labour and £30 for parts, if all goes well. If the suspension is being difficult, which it probably will given the age, another hour/£50 might be needed. Adjust upwards if you are in the South-East.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.

£30ish will get you a top quality kit anyway - FAG or SNR. £20ish for Febi, even cheaper for own-brand.

Probably not advisable to go to Kwikfit or similar chains for work like this - you can almost guarantee they'll find additional work that needs doing; even if it doesn't. ;)

Depends if your handy with spanner its not difficult to take it off yourself with some tools then take it to a local back street garage with a hydrolic press and for £10 or a pack of biscuits they will often push the old one out and a new one back in (40 from eurocarparts)

A garage would change Id recon 1.5 ~ 2 hrs labour. So £40 in parts and £100 labour.
