MODS -There are now ~ 8 separate posts running on OFTM -all being posted to recently -time to combine them ??

That's problably unlikely - they can't even be bothered to correct incorrect information on leaving exit-fee free and can't be bothered updating the pricing on the Energy Price Comparison and it tooks them months to update it to reflect to poor customer service experienced and reported.

MSE don't seem to care that they are inadvertently still passing customers to OutFox with the incorrectly false lower prices still displayed

There are 4 on the first page.
    1. The general "Add your feedback" one
    2. One about price increases
    3. One about the Direct Debit changes
    4. One about them rapidly losing customers
They're separate topics - I'd suggest posters make sure they're posting in the right one.
  • Sounds to me like anyone with any substantial credit balance with them should be very concerned. I'm checking my account daily for when they attempt to recreate the DD

About what? In the event that a supplier becomes insolvent there is 100% credit protection in place.

I tried to switch away on the 21st November. This has failed as Scottish Power claim they don't have contact details for OFTM and thus can't take over the supply. The tariff I wanted is now withdrawn and prices are up by £150 pa for a fix.

Don't know if this is SP or OTFM being carp but it seems that simply switching away is not as easy as I had hoped.....
    I think....

That's a bit worrying, isn't it? I'm trying to switch too. Maybe someone more experienced will come along to help.

And how long would it take for the credit to be eventually returned if they do become insolvent?

You seem intent on painting as good as picture as possible and its seriously weird. You don't appear to be objective and continually post in defence of the clowns at OutFox

If you stay with OFTM and it becomes insolvent, then the SoLR will 'inherit' your account and its credit balance. If you switch away to A N Other, then it could - based on my GBEnergy experience - take 3 months to get your money back. I am not defending OFTM's actions: however, there has been a deal of misinformation on the 8 OFTM threads about credit balances being at risk when they are not. Some OFTM customers - on fixed contracts - have taken a more measured view that it is cheaper to stay with OFTM than switch. They need to know that their credit balances are protected which is the case under the Safety Net.

Finally, no matter how bad a supplier is, there is a cost of failure which is added to all our bills.

Cool - I guess it magically reappears into your bank within 14 days , in time for Christmas ?

I switched from them to PurePlanet. They couldn't find the details at first , it took 2 attempts at switching but now its showing on the app as taking over supply in 14 days and a DD has been setup.
