Yep. Definitely time to leave now. The cherry on the top of the DD debacle cake.
A 35% annual increase for me, and to my cynical mind, another example of them struggling to keep their heads above water.0 -
Yeah, me too. What a joke.0

Monthly membership being replace by a daily charge of 28p per fuel per day.0

Looks like yesterdays fixed best offers in the energy club are no longer the same. Damm, should have fixed 2 days ago before I decided to give OFTM the benefit of the doubt.0

I just switched to ESB 2 Year Price Protect Online v4 at £72 more than OFTM's present rate. No brainer, I think.0

The next confirmed price increase hasn't even kicked in yet, and they've lined up another blockbuster one!!!
I guess there's got to be some way to get their hands on the elevated monthly DDs they'll be collecting, rather than having lots of customers accumulating large credits...0 -
I would be more inclined to think the original dds were set too low and are concerned about large debit balances accruing over winter.Be happy, it's the greatest wealth0

That's the official line. Is it truthful? I doubt it. Using me as an example, my current build up of credit combined with the same level of DD payment over the next 5 months would have been more than enough going on my last 3 years energy usage, and leaving money to spare. Yet they tried to hike it over 150%.
Whether or not it is true, it looks like a cash grab for a struggling company. Especially when combined with their 'new' tariff where you pay 6 months costs upfront. If they can't get a monthly DD correct, how can they correctly predict 6 months of usage!?0 -

That's not the way it is form me well in credit (£200) but still they want to up my DD, now the new standing charge of 28p per fuel per day, makes them far from the cheapest0 -

Ive just done the same after my switch from OFTM too GNE was rejected by OFTM!! So GNE told me i had to re-apply but i can't because the energy club still have me down as switching! And i dont want to wait until it catches up as all the good deals might be gone.
Lets hope that they dont object to this one otherwise ill turn into the hulk.0
