Do they have an understanding of how a 3 rate meter system works? If not, could be the cause of their high bills and escalating any complaint to a manager is not probably the best thing to do.
Education and understanding the system is probably the best way forward.
ripping it out and getting proper heating is the answerBlackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -

Unless they can get gas there is probably no cheaper option. And a new gas install is not cheap. (And if you had gas you would not have this system).0 -

Yes pretty much this. Most of the people you end up talking to will have never delt with it and (depending on their targets by management) will tell you anything to keep the call time down and should not be trusted. Get in touch with the web relations team. The SP web based support if actually quite good. I had to use it as when I moved in and made myself known as their new customer online the accountt was not set up properly. And after two phone calls failed to resolve I went to the online chat. They took my info, passed in on to the right team and when sorted rung me back.0 -

Just in case like me, anyone is scouring the forums looking for answers when being told by electricity supplier that they are using impossible amounts of kwh.... Eventually I realised that the third, control opening reading given to me by the meter engineer was very similar to the date of installation of the meter, ending 0321, 3rd march , but not noticed because began 05, not 18. That guy didn't even know how to read the meter he was installing. Long story short Scottish power accepted that bills were based on wrong opening reading, problem solved, bill cancelled.0
