  • Update.

My son did not pay the second instalment (of £40) to DRP.

He has now received two letters:

The first letter is from Britannia Parking saying that the account has been passed to their legal team in respect of the outstanding balance of £120 and that all future contact/correspondence should now be with them.

The second letter is from BW Legal requiring payment of the outstanding balance of £120 within 16 days. Failure to pay or contact them within that timescale, they say, would result in them seeking their Client’s instructions to commence legal proceedings against him in the County Court.

I’m guessing that the BW Legal letter is their standard one, but I can scan and upload it if it would be helpful.

My son is prepared to pay an additional £20 to cover the original Parking fine of £60, in order to try and end this ordeal.

Should he make the offer to Britannia Parking (despite what they said in their letter) or BW Legal?

Any advice on this in particular or the case in general would be much appreciated.

Tell him not to bother, they now know they have hooked a sucker and will go for all they can get, these are greedy scammers not benevolent friendly people here to help out!
