  • It doesn't look like there are many that you can use straight out of the box

    This is from Apple's site

It also looks like some whizzes have come up with some software that will allow certain Creative plaers to work, if you have a scout round the Forum at the Creative site then you'll no doubt find a list
It's taken me years of experience to get this cynical

If you will be using iTunes, then the above post is correct. If, however, you don't want to use iTunes, then any MP3 player that connects to a USB port should work; the device will show up on the Apple desktop as an external drive, so if the player doesn't need specific software to add music to the player, you should just be able to drag music files to the player as you would to a USB Flash memory stick. Most, if not all, of the Creative range, and most of the unbranded or own-label makes sold by Currys, Asda, Tesco etc. should work. I use a 512mb thing I got cheap from Asda and just drag audiobooks onto the player - works fine!

If you're after a creative player, it's worth looking here.

It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die
