nPower 3 year fix

Options
I signed up for this in the summer. Certainly wasn't the cheapest, but only put my bill up from £54 to £68 per month. Question is, with all the recent price hikes, is this now a good deal, or still a relatively poor one. I don't mind really, getting on a bit and switching continually was getting too much of a chore. The security of the three years fixed deal was worth it to me.
Just wondering if anyone knows, I'd ask Martin, but obviously that's not possible.
Many Thanks.

    Welcome to the forum.

We cannot work out costs for comparison without knowing exactly which tariff you are on - there are a whole host of Npower 3 year fixed tariffs ending in 2021.

We would also need to know your region, are you gas and electricity or electricity only? your consumption in kWh.

Your best bet is to go to a comparison website and enter those details yourself.

However with energy prices having increased a lot in the last few months, it is likely to be a better bet now than it was last summer.

Most people switch to put the price down.

A 3 year deal is rarely going to be good value.
There is probably a exit fee of about £30 (or maybe even £30 per year) if you want to switch early.

Sometimes 2 year deals can be good value. e.g for a low electricity user
