Advice on an appeal please

Hi all,
I'm after some advice after never dealing with anything like this before.
I have a PCN from Smart Parking. I wasn't driving, but I am the registered keeper. Here's a copy of the initial letter -

The letter is very vague, and only shows the car entering and leaving the site. No explanation of the exact breach (ie how long the car apparently over stayed, no parking payment, etc).
Plus it doesn't actually show the car parked. It simply shows the car entering and leaving at 2 times.
Anyway, I have filled in their online appeal form, using the "one size fits all" appeal letter from the sticky post here, asking for details and proof.
I did this on 21-11-18 (screen grab below confirming the submission of the appeal.

But since then I've never heard anything regarding the appeal. Not even a confirmation email saying it's been delivered. So should I re-send the appeal?
Also, since then, I've received a 2nd Notice To Owner letter saying £100 is outstanding, and if I don't pay within 14 days a further £10 will be added and then handed over for debt recovery.

So I'm asking for advice on what I should do next? Do I sit tight and wait? If so how long?
Is there anything I've not done right. I'm not sure if my appeal was late (if that's possible). I'm not sure on the dates, but I may have left it 29 days if it's calculated from the "offence", but the letter is dated 02-11-18
What is the process likely to be? I've read some of the appeals here, and I'm not knowledgeable, confident, or even able to give too much time to this.
I don't want to give up, but I also have other very important things to focus on (3 kids and a demanding business), so the thought has crossed my mind to use a credit card to pay the £100 and just walk away.
Anyway, any advice would be really appreciated!
Thanks,
D

if it was a postal notice you received, then it can and should be appealed within 28 days, so leaving it until late doesnt help you
SMART have 35 days to reply with a decision (see the BPA CoP)
if they reject your appeal, they should issue a POPLA code, then you make a popla appeal
for the time being there is no point in paying their invoice0 -
@Redx thanks for your reply. I actually amended my post while you replied. I'm not sure about the dates. When does the 28 days start? The letter is dated after the "offence" so I might have been within the 28 days. What do you think?
Thanks,

What, after SIX DAYS, just because a template reminder arrived? Do nothing. You do not get an email acknowledgement. But since then I've never heard anything regarding the appeal. Not even a confirmation email saying it's been delivered. So should I re-send the appeal?
Smart will cancel after 30 - 40 days, which all Smart Parking threads here show you. Anyone who pays them, ever, has been mugged.
Did you watch the MPs slag them off (an MP named and shamed Smart and tore into them) in Parliament on Friday?

Thanks. Do you know if their decision be by mail or email then?
The Perth MP is rightly cheesed off, these car parking firms certainly do put you off visiting certain places.
Cheers0 -
if the date of the letter was 02 nov then you had until 30 nov to appeal, some 9 days after the appeal went in, they have 35 days to respond, hence the silence
just keep checking your email including spam folder and your post for their reply0 -
