Gotta go out in an hour or so but wondered on other peoples take on this.
I have a relative who is grieving, and is simply, sad. He is a young person, over 21, and spends a lot of time playing games online,in fact most of his spare time(prob too much i think),but i know it distracts him too-which is how he deals with these things.
He is not sleeping well at the moment and i wonder if he is not being helped by his mind being made active with the computer. He works, though is off for a week at the moment, and has a loving supportive partner who he lives with-i dont believe he wants to talk about how he feels.
ideas and thoughts anyone. I dont think he will accept counselling.

Aw, that's really bad about his loss. Sleep can be affected by so many things, and certainly watching TV or using a computer will not help - apparently you're supposed to turn these things off at least 30 mins before you go to bed to let your brain and eyes wind down. Maybe he should try peppermint or camomile tea before bed, just reading perhaps instead? He is lucky to have a supportive partner there for him.:A0

You could have written that about me, word for word.
My Dad recently died and I don't know whether I'm coming or going. I can't sleep at night and get up. I get up at about 10-11am in the morning. I'm tired all the time. And I've spent an extraordinary amount of money lately, when previously I was very frugal and careful.
First of all, my thoughts go out to the young man. Its such a hard thing to deal with and I completely understand why he is withdrawing. If he won't go for counselling, then hopefully family and friends can keep an eye on him and give him as much support as possible.
Secondly, so sorry Aly for your loss. My mum died 2 months ago, unexpectedly, and I do not have a dad. So me and my 2 sisters are trying to cope as best we can. We spend a lot of time together, talking about mum, crying, laughing etc. I find, if I spend too much time on my own, it is not good for me. She was such a positive person as well, that I know she would be seriously kicking my ar*e if I was mooching around. This horrible situation has taught me that life is precious.
I hope you start to feel a little better soon. :kisses3:A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0
