HB overpayment

Every month i take my payslip to local HB office because i sometimes do overtime. If there isnt a long wait i see someone to get it processed right away and i know how much i've been overpaid and what my entitlement is. In August i saw triage and they said there was a long wait so they said they would scan my payslip for it to be processed later on. In September and October i did the same thing because it was a long wait and both times i told them i haven't heard anything about my entitlement from August and they said it will be processed soon. Today i went in with my november payslip and told them that i still havent heard from them and now i fear i have a big overpayment. Luckily there wasn't anyone waiting today all my payslips were processed and now have a £124 overpayment. Are there grounds to appeal this because they have took so long to process my August, September and October wage slips?

You can complain about the delay in processing but if you think you can appeal against the overpayment I think you will be disappointed. You suspected there would be an overpayment to recover and that is the case. Best you can ask for is for recovery of the overpayment to be made over a 3 month period because that's how long it took them to process it.0

Oh ok, they are deducting £11.10 a week but as it's so close to xmas i'm going to ring them and ask if it could be less. Thank you.0
