Was taking a taxi to a hospital appointment yesterday when the driver said "Surely that's not a police car?" I looked over and was quite surprised to see a Porsche Cayman GT 4 in full police livery coming around a roundabout.

We followed it towards the hospital where we filtered left at some lights while he was stopped on red. We both looked over at the car as we went past, and had a !!!!!! moment when we realised that in the passenger seat was what looked like a twelve year old kid in school uniform and a big smile on his face. Must be the school run we thought!

Personally I'm not sure a Porsche is that likely to appeal to or impress young drivers. Maybe a RX8 would be better?

Po-ice could be a rather shocking experience. Unlikely today with central heating though!
  • Doh! I hate people who don't check their spelling!

(Actually I was just checking who was awake...)
  • Corrected it now.

To be fair I personally don't view simple typos as spelling mistakes. They can still be a source of amusement though.

Arrrgh! It all brings back uncomfortable memories. Until the mid 60s we had an outside toilet and no central heating. A "po" under every bed was essential. Frost bite in the nether regions was to be expected!

Educational note: outside toilet in Manx Gaelic is "Thai Veg" meaning little (Veg) outhouse (Thai).

    Ditto. In every detail!
I remember the Winter of 62-63 we kept a little paraffin lantern on low in the outside toilet to stop it freezing.
I was thinking of it as I typed!

I saw an undercover porsche cayenne and some other expensive car ripping through Worcester on blues and twos in about 2013. So someone out there runs them...
