Hi thanks in advance for any help

Recieved a DRP letter yesterday for "no parking, waiting, loading or unloading on yellow lines" with the charge date being 5 months ago. No contact has been made by MET parking services. I tried following the advice in the newbies thread of appealing online and also searching for recent threads with my issue but have not found any.

I cannot find on MET parking services anywhere to post an appeal. They allow you to enter the registration of the car and the parking charge no. but no where to enter any text and also no address on the site to send an appeal to in letter form which is what they instruct you to do.

When i attempt to enter the parking charge no. (I have tried the parking charge notice no. and Our reference no.) the website says that "Sorry, we cannot find this ticket - please check the details you have provided are correct"

Has anyone encountered this problem before and could offer advice?

    IGNORE drp, they are timewasters

send the PPC MET a SAR under the GDPR

if you find there is no alleged debt or invoice, you can complain about it then and require DRPL to remove your data under the GDPR, under threat of going to the ICO

Having received a letter from DRP, you are far to late to appeal.
That is why you are now unable to appeal directly to MET.

Time to read post #4 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread to discover exactly how to deal with debt collector's letters - although Redx has summarised that post in the first line of his reply above. ;)

Apologies for the late reply I was watching my email thinking that I would get a notification. OK thank you, I will post a letter to MET. I assume I do not need to send one to DRP and just ignore them?

This is the letter that I would send. Is it correctly written would you/anyone say?

That's not an appeal, that's a SAR and you email that to the MET's Data Protection Officer (DPO), not post it.

As the NEWBIES thread explains, it even tells you how to find the DPO contact mail.

And why not email Steve Clark at the BPA to tell him that MET didn't send any letters and went straight to DRP letters?

    steve.c@britishparking.co.uk

Ask him to investigate as you want to appeal yet have had no opportunity.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I understand it to not be an appeal but a request for information. I followed the advice on the newbie thread for how to issue a SAR but it said to post it to the company, I must have missed where it said to find the DPO officer. We have changed address in the last 5 months. I would imagine that the letters were being sent to my previous address and not forwarded to my new one.

I cant find anywhere on the newbie thread on how to find the email of the DPO officer. I have found the DPO mail address via their privacy policy now. I will also email Steve Clark.

    Is the SAR OK?

    Should I do anything else?

I cant find anywhere on the newbie thread on how to find the email of the DPO officer. Using google I can see the address may be dpo@metparking.com but no idea if that is current because the page it leads to is a 404. The only method of contact them on their website is through a none-specific online form, which personally I do not trust as you have no proof or idea if they have recieved it
This is in the NEWBIES thread:
You can find out where to send the SAR (usually by email) by looking on the Parking firm's PRIVACY webpage, telling you where to send a SAR or any 'data concerns' to their Data Protection Officer.
So looking on https://www.Metparking.com for a privacy page would find the email address that you have now found.
  • I have emailed Steve Clark and MET DPO officer. I will update the thread with any replies that I recieve.

Thanks for the guidance so far
