Another PCN.. Am I doing the right thing?

No. The AOS list. They have gone (sure they used to be there):

...and yet if you Google IPC AOS, they are not there either.
For that reason, HOLD YOUR HORSES ON THE APPEAL!
Instead email the DVLA using the updated email addy in post #5 of the NEWBIES thread and ask whether the University of York can currently get keeper details, as they are not on either list.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ooh good spot! I've emailed the DVLA, let's wait and see what they come back with.
On the chance that they do not have the authority to request keeper details, where would that leave me?0 -
It would leave you untouchable.
But I expect they are meant to be on one list or the other. Urgent though, ask the DVLA if this Uni is in an 'ATA' as they do not appear on either the IPC nor BPA AOS list for November. Ask them if they are banned!!!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well that's ominous.. Here's hoping they've been naughty!
Pardon my ignorance, what is an ATA?0 -
ATA = Accredited Trade Association.
C-m, is that worth adding to post #5 of the NEWBIES?0 -
Brill, thanks folks. I'll leave it with the DVLA and report back when I have some news. Fingers crossed!0

Evening all, update from the DVLA is not what I wanted to hear:
"I can confirm that University of York do have access to DVLA keeper data via a link provider who is a registered member of British Parking Association – BPA."
So that means we're back to the basic blue appeal wording then and take it from there?0 -
thats strange as they are not showing as members , perhaps contacting the BPA to see if there membership is active would be best , the links on there website (2016) are indeed saying IPC , but nothing there either
wayback machine shows them as IPC , into 2018
U would question both the BPA (with date of joining) and re question the DVLA0 -

Tell me I have misunderstood.0
