Upgrade from BMW M3
Morning All
New to this forum and was seeking some advise on what car to upgrade to next as the aforementioned title suggests.
Currently got an E46 BMW M3 love it but feel like something new. Reason for picking it in the first place over the E92 M3 and M4 is because it felt the most raw to drive the latter two where quite filtered (electric steering) and also a lot larger so not as nibble.
Notably I only drive in the evenings and weekends since I work in Mayfair.
So my logical options are Nissian R-35 GTR, Porsche 911 (997S), M2 or maybe a M4 competition pack. Any other suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance!:beer:

Picking the E46 M3 over the M4 (with exception to the CSL) is because one is less than half the price of the other....0

Yep that definitely came into it since it was my first car, but also from a purely subjective point of view its was more fun to drive and you can actually feel the road (hydraulic steering vs electric). Additionally the CSL is stripped out and only comes with a SMG gearbox.
911 blew me away with the road feel and rear engine dynamics and the ability to trail brake very well into corners. Brake and accelerator pedals are close so it's easy to heel toe downshift, and the gearbox was joy to use. Although the clutch and brakes were extremely heavy.
I drove a GTR on track and was mesmerized at the engineering behind the car. However it's ATTESA system literally does all the work for you so it's no where near as rewarding to drive as a manual rear wheel drive car with a LSD.
Any suggestions on any other cars are welcome.0 -
I knew it wouldn't be long once Deaston was PPR'd.0

A bit too track focused tbh, but thanks for the advise.0

Of course you are. So presumably you'll be happy to do the custard test to prove you're not like the 100th DM alter-ego to ask this same question?Any suggestions on any other cars are welcome.
Go drive some cars instead of regurgitating the wikipedia pages.
Or just stop.0
