Energy switch- charged twice?

Due to Eon more than doubling our bills, we’re changing energy companies at the end of the month. I’ve had emails from both Eon and the company we’re switching to to say they’re both charging me this month. Is this normal? Thanks

Entirely normal I am afraid. If you have a large credit balance with E.oN then call them with a meter reading and advise them that you will be cancelling your DD Mandate.
