If you register your credit card with TfL you can get a journey history the same way you can for Oyster cards:

I can assure you that Halifax debit cards are contactless I have had one since mine was renewed in March this year.

Thanks, I will check that out for future, still got about 6 quid on the oyster so will use that up first

What type of Halifax account do you hold - it is only the basic account that is not contactless.

I did say that I was talking about Basic accounts and Halifax make it quite clear on their website that you don't get a contactless card with their Basic account. You do with their other current accounts.
