Looking for help. Today my wife received a PCN from Parkingeye stating her vehicle had stayed over 15 hours at the Hearthed Moor service on the M62 eastbound. What appears to have happened is 2 separate days have been joined by parking eye into 1 event when there were 2 ins and 2 outs for the 2 days. Day 1 actually entered car park at 16.00hrs ANP picture shown this on picture very dark wet afternoon (actually left at approx 16.40 a burger and coffee at BK) No picture of the actual day 1 departure.. Then Day 2 actual arrival approx 7.45 (no picture captured) And then the leaving picture shown -again very dark conditions that was used as the end of parking time giving over 15 hours. Whilst in fact parking (time on site ) was 45 mins on 2 distinctly separate occasions Best form of appeal gratefully received.

this is known as double dipping and is well known and well documented

they have missed one exit and one entrance due to flaws in ANPR technology

appeal as keeper on their website, using the blue text template from the NEWBIES thread post #1 near the top of this forum

    add a paragraph stating that

The driver made 2 short visits over a 2 day period so check your flawed technology and cancel this pcn

    or words to that effect

Send an appeal online to Parking Eye saying the above.

And a complaint to the ICO, as stated here:

PLEASE PLEASE do the ICO online complaint - with your evidence - even if P/E cancel!

Double visit ANPR flaws are a serious and common issue and the ICO has not been told enough about it. They MUST investigate ParkingEye, this is long overdue.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Grateful for your assistance and newbie postings. I now wonder how I ever managed to avoid the missuse of ANPR cameras! Appeal sent online yesterday.
  • Result : Excellent news and my thanks to WB parking team for promptly investigating. They reported that a large HGV blocked my cars view from the camera and the charge will be cancelled.

I will write to all the bodies mentioned on the forum and my MP.. Keep up the good work and advice.
