Our energy supplier has folded and Ofgem has relocated our account to Scottish Power. We do not want to deal with this company. Can we request a different company?

    Yes, you are free to switch but you are advised to wait until the SoLR has taken over your supply. Under SoLR rules, you will be on a Deemed Contract with SP until your switch goes through in 17 to 35 days from application. It is not possible to bypass SP. SP will deal with any credit/debit on your account.
